Kahlil Gibran  (1883 – 1931)

Gibran was born in Syria (now Lebanon), but moved to the US at age 12. Gibran’s mother was Catholic and much of his writing is from a Christian perspective, particularly on spiritual love. He is most famous for his book of poetic essays, The Prophet, first published in 1923 and since then never out of print. It remains one of the bestselling books of the 20th century in the US.

The entire collected works of Kahlil Gibran including all stories, poetry and art are archived here.
