Narina Prokosch demonstrates a simple exercise to help men and women be fit for golf. Hold a plate (our women will use a 10 lb plate; men 25 lb) at right hip. Bring to center and push out to other side at about eye height. The key is to keep the pelvis and feet straight ahead. Do not let the hips rotate. This exercise is to help increase thoracic range of motion which is important in the game of golf - this helps to protect the lower back and increase power and driving ability.
