We made a decision to release content to premium members over a gradual period, as opposed to giving access to all contents at once and at random. This is for two main reasons, one to help the member get the most long-term value out of their membership, and the other is good business practice (we hope—but our customers will be the judge of that).

First, although a member would naturally want to see all that is there at once, they could not possibly use it that way. So, they can see all that is there (the content is listed as being in the system), but not access all that is there instantly (the content is only released on a schedule over days, weeks and months). Members can only access content in a structured, planned and intentional sequence which we believe will best enable them to absorb, learn and integrate the content into their lives. This is primarily a learning curriculum, only secondarily an entertainment curriculum, and only in a minor incidental way a titillating curriculum. We have been teaching for over a decade and do have some sense of how to present a learning curriculum so people will actually get the most value from it.

Second, if all the content is released at once, there really is no incentive to stay being a member over time, and members would be tempted to make a quick and premature judgment about the site based upon only minutes of review. Such quick judgments are not likely to be accurate or realistic regarding the true long term value of membership.

Also, not only will the currently available content be released sequentially over time, but we will be adding new content frequently and continuously for two reasons. First, we could not get everything ready in time for the launch deadline. Second, we will continue to develop content that at this time does not even exist or is only in the planning stage or only partially into production.

Exactly how to drip the content, the exact sequence and timing, is something we need to review and revise as we have a bit more time and experience operating the site.
